John Scibilia served most recently as the Executive Administrator at historic Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims.    He is in his forty third year serving as a lay professional in the church.  Prior to joining Plymouth Church in 2013, he held executive positions at several churches and church organizations, including Parish Manager at St. James’ Church. Executive Director of Lutheran Disaster Response of New York at Ground Zero (2001-2006), which he founded; National Director for Schools at Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (1995-2001); and Executive Director of Bishop’s Mission Fund for the Metropolitan NY Synod of the ECLA (1992-1995).  In 2003 John was recognized by the Council of Churches of the City of New York with the Extraordinary Leadership Award for his work at Ground Zero.

John is a Certified Church Administrator (CCA), certified by Indiana University as a church fund raiser and holds degrees from Fordham University and Gettysburg College. In addition, he earned the Degree of Distinction in the National Forensic League and has served as President of the Greater New York City chapter of The Church Network (National Association for Church Business Administration) since 2009.
